I can rebuild your hatch latches

I've accumulated enough parts to rebuild a few hatch latches. I can replace the spring, lever or both. I also have the latch release lever. I drill the crimped end off the pin and then put a spot of weld to hold the pin back in place. I've done about 6 sets with no complaints so far. I will try and find some pictures of completed units. 35 for ea. latch plus return shipping that also includes blasting the latch. Normally it will be a 1 day turnaround time.

Re: I can rebuild your hatch latches

I might need this. I'll have to check the condition of my latches.

Re: I can rebuild your hatch latches

I'm going to need 2 sets of latches redone - mine are still attached to the trucks. What are the next steps? PM me for details. Thank you for offering this service.

Neither of my hatches close/latch and I have purchased new rods as well to replace the crusty ones.

Do you have any of the parts that hold the rods to the handle by chance? I think mine rusted away and now the rods won't stay connected to the handle mechanism.

Re: I can rebuild your hatch latches

Awesome service that is offered here. I had two sets redone and installed one of the sets about a month ago. I had to text him after I got them installed to let him know this was the first time I have ever had a hatch that closed/latched like it should. Thanks again for providing this service for the group.

Awesome, that's for the feedback! I'm surprised more people aren't interested.

I’m interested but I haven’t had time to start working on the hatch. Will be in touch when I get there.

Re: I can rebuild your hatch latches

Can you PM me an email address? I want to send you pictures of my latch and see if there is something I have that is not with the parts. I want to have my latch done.

Thanks,

Smitty

Re: I can rebuild your hatch latches

Another happy customer here. I was ready to go the repop route before I stumbled on this thread. Dwayne made the whole process easy and stayed in communication on receiving the parts, pictures of his work, and when he shipped it out. Definitely recommend.
