Sounds like you have your priorities in the right place - there will still be trucks around in 15 years, but your kid will be gone & all you'll have is the memories....

Mine just got her learner's permit and I can see the end of the road of her being a major part of my life coming quickly - even when I'm not in the mood, I never turn down a chance to take her driving. I even went to my first concert with her a few weeks ago.

If you miss the trucks that much spend $1500 or $2000 on one that looks presentable, and just drive it around without a ton of work - that's what I'm doing - no major restoration work on one I own for 2 more years, at least.
