Drove the GMC to work for the first time EVER.

Wow...What a feeling,
She is now officially a running driving project.. Been sitting for a lot of years and decided to get her mechanically OK and start driving her. Drove her to work for the very first time and its kinda nice to keep an eye on her.

Re: Drove the GMC to work for the first time EVER.

Mine was a problem child when I started driving it. Had a lot of issues pop up but it was understandable considering it sat for so many years. Now I can drive it out of state with no worries. Feels great when we get them going and can enjoy them! Congrats!

They are good year MTR 33x12.50-15 on stock 6 lug steel wheels with caps. I put the sky jacker 2.5in lift after much consideration on the other brands but I'm happy with the stance. It was a little more money than some of the others but happy with the purchase. Thanks for all the kind words guys.

Looks great! I bet it's as happy as you are. Mine sat from Jan 9 till two days ago and it was driving me nuts. I'm used to driving it and working out of it from two rains after the last snow up to the first snow.

Do I see buckets in your GMC westong? I love your idea of a running driving project.

Congratulations, looks great! My K20 was off the road for 20 years so I drive it to work every chance I get.

Is that the truck I bought the 8 track player out of? That was a few years ago. It’s a cool pick and I’m gad to see you driving the truck. You should post more pictures

Yep... factory bucket seat k10 and a SWB to boot. Pretty loaded truck with the original SPID still intact.

Re: Drove the GMC to work for the first time EVER.

Not to be stepping on ya bro, I know the feeling well. Yes driving your project everyday will be fun. Or on the good days.

I have had people laugh, ridicule, and compliment my truck. What the funniest thing is some people are in utter amazement when they run into me, years later and I am still driving the same truck.

50 years and counting birthday is coming up for mine.
