What you get is an adapter bracket, plasma cut, belt ground with all the necessary holes ether punched or drilled and tapped. You also get short button head bolts for the mount to cab and 3 longer button head bolts with lock washers for the pedal to the mount. I also include photo instructions for trouble free install.

Thanks for the heads up. I also always see them in the pick-N-pull as well.

Well I did it and got all that were ordered by 3 pm sent out tonight by 5:30 pm!

Thanks to everyone who ordered. I up graded all the bolts to button head allens for a cleaner look, not that you can really see down their but I know they are their right!

I was looking at one today and they are completely different but he should be able to drill the mounting holes for the 71-72 pedal and bolt it from the engine side. I guess he could also use my bracket and weld it to the fire wall on the inside and then bolt to that but I think it would be a waist if it were me. This kit is for a easy bolt in and if you are going to mod the part I would suggest starting from scratch.

Wow, that was friggin' quick man! Now I really will have to find where the heck I put that pedal...

Just tossing this out for anyone... where would I find a cable that would work for an edelbrock carb? Is there a "generic make your own cable kit" out there? Not really looking for Lokar quality/price, just something that will work safely.

When I was at the local Napa parts store they have a book with every stock cable made and it gives lengths and end styles. Might be a place to start but if you have a stock one for starters then let them know what needs to be different.

For my LT1 I used one for a 96 Impala then shortened the cable shield for a better fit and went to Ace hardware and used two of the cable crimpers to shorten the cable under the dash. Has over 16,000 HARD miles on it with out fail and you could never tell anything was done.

What would be cool is as people start getting these hooked up, post pics and parts to complete the job.

Yes it will but you will need to mount the pedal end different then the way it comes. They are designed to have the pedal slide between the clevis and the stock pedal is designed to have the cable go through it. So you would just remove the clevis (set screw) and slide the cable through the pedal and re-attach the clevis on the other side. Then I would use a small zit tie to keep the clevis tight to the pedal if you wanted. You could also (if you weld) if you wanted just cut and turn the to of the pedal rod 90* and with a little bit of sanding the clevis would slide right on. That would be the cleanest way to go and if you don't weld but have a torch you could just heat it cherry hot and twist it 90*.

Now Dan I thought more of you then that! How do you chose between your two kids? You know if you pick the 67 then the 70 will start acting up and if you chose the 70 the 67 will pee GL5 all over the driveway

I do think that was about the stock length but I would need to check to make sure. What ever the stock 71-72 used will be a bolt in deal (after you cut the square hole) but a lot of other cables will work as well. Also keep in mind that their may be different lengths depending on if it had a SBC, BBC or 6'er, so fining one that fits just how you want it should not be very hard at all. Also once people start installing these and post pics it will give a good starting point for others.

Thanks, went out and measured. I think the Lokar 24" universal cable will work, trimmed to fit. Firewall to the carb is under 24" and it looks like there's already a hole drilled in the firewall in the right spot.

I think you will be able to modify the 67-70 pedal "Z" rod to work with this. It will require moving the pedal stop pin to the other side and bending the rod to match the 71/72 pedal. This will allow the use of the lokar setup without any welding or modification to the end of the pedal rod.

Sounds doable but maybe more work then just bending the 71-72? Do you have a pic of just what you are talking about?

Rob I looked at one I had here and that is a good way to go with a bit of bending and it looks like for the roll pin you can just tap it through the other way.

Also just to let you guys who ordered since last night, they are all in the mail but the post office is closed today so they will be processed first thing in the morning.
