Ridler vs Jegs wheel question

I am looking at the Ridler 607 20x8 and 20x10 for my 72 C10. But I recently saw that Jegs has a wheel that looks identical and cost less, the JV-2. Does anyone think I would be missing out getting the Jegs? Does Ridler make the Jegs wheel? Thoughts.

Re: Ridler vs Jegs wheel question

In this day and age of technology anyone with the right scanner and multi-axis milling equipment can copy something like wheels.

That being said buying wheels from someplace like Jegs does give you some assurance that they aren't a super cheap knock off as Jegs has some thing to lose in court. It is possible Jegs has them made by Riddler or an approved subcontractor and can then offer them at a lower price with limited sizes or offsets.

It may be worth your time to ask Jegs or Riddler who's making the Jegs wheels.

Re: Ridler vs Jegs wheel question

Just FYI I used US Mag wheels on my 68. Similar to the ones at Jeg's. I got mine from Summit.

The Riddler/Jegs is a nice looking rim. Has a BBS vibe to it.

I was looking at those wheels also, but I think I am leaning towards the Y spokes. Great looking truck.

I think you and HO455 have me convinced to buy the Jegs and save $300-$400.

Thanks everyone.
