 20120929_232150 Started to take the throttle cable apart, part i need is the firewall grommet, luckily picked up a used one and didnt have to cut this oem cable apart More to follow

 20121009_113350 by jarosaj, on Flickr Reworked the throttle cable a bit, the old method had no way of fine tuning it...hotrodimpy suggested the bushings, and moved the plastic piece to the firewall. Not sure, may still build a square bushing for the OEM throttle cable bracket, like the kickdown cable OEM fuel regulator on BO till the 18th Still have to ponder the fuel supply and return, seems the fuel rail fittings are a saginaw type with orings Still searching for a proper water neck on the base plate, but was able to locate the OEM air filter from K&N Throttle travel seems to be1 1/2" by the red marks on the cable, enough to engage OEM cruise control all the way to WOT

Do you need a stock water neck? Or custom?
I think I have a stock mount fpu as well. The threads are metric. :Edit: My camaro has the 0411 swap with single coil.

I told you in PM it had funky screws. I ended up buying a kit from autozone that had about 30 different bits in it, just to get that one.

I think the pvc plugs into the left side of the intake, down lown between the two pairs of runners.
Then you have the "vent tube" connect to pass side of the TB. If you need any diagrams, pics, or have questions. Give me a pm, Ive had a TPI for about 5 years now and had it ripped down plenty of times for mods. |

left hose size, I cant read, but it looks to be 3/8 or 1/2. The threaded fitting on the left side, make sure you use blue loctight, I had mine come loose and caused some funny idling.
right hose, no size marking at all. I guess 5/8. I am using vette heads 113, vette base intake(this hole is same on camaro though), and vette valve covers. Also, on your thermostat housing. Does what you have just need to be clocked different? I have the tools to heliarc (sp?) aluminum. I'm not that good, but if thats all you need done, I would give it a try. |

ok looked up that intake....
http://image.gmhightechperformance.c...m_manifold.jpg The ellipse hole next to the runner openings, thats your EGR tube. The next opening to the rear, that is your egr threaded port. IIRC its 1/2npt. My first heliarc project was my vette base intake that I made a fubar on  Then I made a rear bumper frame for my camaro. So not much experience as I mentioned. Just putting that up front.

No egr is fine. I'm not running one on mine from the factory intake, cause my heads arnt either. You will still need to run a block off plate on the right rear if no EGR is being used.
That round hole should still be open and threaded. |
