Re: Daytona Beach: Turkey Rod Run

I headed up there in the Blazer last evening around dinner time. Tue. is the load in day for the show. The area is always crowded with all kinds of hot rods & show vehicles. I never made it, shredded the R.R. 285/50/18 NITTO tire on I-95 Northbound. I smelled tire and felt it go down about the same time. Not the tire's fault, bald & way too old to be cruising 80 mph. on the interstate. No damage to the Blazer, 3hr. wait for AAA to flatbed it home. Hopefully, I'll see/meet you Friday at your space,... the ol' GMC's got fresh tires.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Re: Daytona Beach: Turkey Rod Run

Great show, but one of the rainiest I have ever attended. Thursday and Friday morning was a wash. I sold the majority of the items that I brought, Friday and Saturday. I think I was the only one selling 67-72 CHEV truck parts. I met a few old friends and really like this product: https://www.blingmaster.com/ or https://www.facebook.com/BlingMaster...h-95012504202/

See everyone on March 2018 - Daytona Spring Fling.

Re: Daytona Beach: Turkey Rod Run

I enjoyed the show, wasn't buying or selling, just lookin'. Fri. afternoon was overcast but dry. Lots of cars & parts but I think the weather kept the crowd away. We rode all over in the '71 like a golf cart. Went to Bellair Plaza on the beachside Fri. & Sat night. Found good parking both nights.. Good time. Pretty day Sat. .. about walked myself to death.
