Stupid Question (Dana 60?)

I may have a chance to buy what I think is a Dana 60 front axle. The vehicle it's coming off of is a 1980 Chevy K?0. I have a ? because I don't know if it is a 3/4 or 1 ton for sure. The GVW is 10,000# (sticker in glovebox, registration), which makes me think K30. It also has 4 springs in each spring pak up front. It doesnt have any fender emblems, and the front wheels are regular steel wheels, while the rear wheels are duallies, which made me think either 3/4 or 1 ton SRW converted to DRW. Axle is covered in gunk so I couldnt check for any casting #'s. My friend's dad bought the truck just for the rear axle and the nice flatbed it has, and has no need for a front axle. I think its a Dana 60, but even if its a 44, I'll probably take it for the disc brakes. Can anyone help? Here's a pic:

I bleieve that is a 44. 60's use studs instead of ubolts on one side of the leaf spring and it looks too small.

That is an 8.5" 10 bolt. Some of the axle parts will work, but not all. Look at the cast iron "ears" on either side of the bottom of the cover. Sounds like someone has put dually adpaters on a single wheel truck.

Here is a link to some line drawings of a bunch of different diffs you can use to id.

The best way to tell if you have a 60 front is there will only be one u-bolt for the spring pack(pumpkin side) where as all others have two. The dana 60 uses studs and one u-bolt.

1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone.
1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

Easiest way to tell dana's is if you are looking under the truck from the front on the bottom right cast gusset in the pig their will be a 44 or a 60 and then a space with several more numbers. By the way this is a 10 bolt for sure.
