Ready for another roadtrip with me?

Here we go... Already a day behind due to weather conditions.
Yes that is -11 in the truck. The snow is the day before i was leaving. Needless to say that is why i am a day behind.

Re: Ready for another roadtrip with me?

Met with countr in iowa and dropped off a bunch of seats with him. Got to chat for a little bit before hitting the road again to southern MO. Smooth sailing day 1... Day 2, left Mo heading to jacksonville AR. Freezing rain, slush, sleet, you name it! 6 hours of driving in it to make it to my next stop to drop off a bunch of parts for weslytucker454.

Re: Ready for another roadtrip with me?

Finally got all the ice chiseled off and headed to salado texas to meet with boynton and grab a frame. South of waco texas at this point and haven't seen over 40 degrees yet!
First pic is following his dad to load the frame.
The other pics are from greenes in cameron texas.

Re: Ready for another roadtrip with me?

Off to the swap meet! First pic is the owner of the junkyard with his diesel powered burb. Was cold and very poor attendance at the meet. I figure about 75% empty. Left early.

Still tried to make the most of it. Still beats working.

Unloaded today the easy way...
And believe it or not, the long bed lined up with some of the bolt holes on the 72 blazer frame and sat very nice on there for the ride home.
Until next trip, enjoy.

Re: Ready for another roadtrip with me?

Is that green cab what you would consider "rust free"?

I'm getting the picture that "rust free" means a lot of different things to different people. It's hard for me to get a grasp...

Certainly not rust free. By minnesota standards it is nice. By CA standards it is probably ok.

That's a good condition cab in any state. And a good reference for deluxe two tone paint jobs as it wraps around the cab. Thanks for sharing!

That bed looks really nice. Exact paint scheme I would like to go with. Wish I could find stuff like that up here.

3200 miles in 6 days. You are my kind of driver. That is a lot of seat time.
Great job. Glad that you made back home safely. I will be in your neck of the woods in 3 weeks from Alaska .

It looks like your timing was right, on a positive note. I just saw $5 a gallon diesel at a truck stop north of Richmond yesterday.

Salado Texas, that is just up the road from me - where was this swap meet at? In Salado too? I swear I never hear of any swap meets, I need to learn where to look. I'd have loved to met you too, day late and a dollar short, darn it!

I wasn't there long. A couple hours before heading northwest to the decatur swap meet.
