Anco Wiper Blades '67 C10
I was going to replace the Anco wiper arms on my '67 C10 with some NOS Trico arms. But now I am wondering if the Ancos are original to the truck. I have never seen wiper blades with the "wing" attachment.
Any feed back is appreciated. POP

I don't think they are original. They were designed so that the wind from driving down the road holds the wiper blade tighter to the windshield. I have them on a couple of my trucks and I think they do help some. LockDoc

Re: Anco Wiper Blades '67 C10
I sold auto parts from 85-98. THe whole time we sold Anco wiper stuff. I still like it over ANY of the modern super-de-duper wipers.
I don't recall ever selling a blade assy with the wing on it. Couldn't tell you if it's factory or not. Even back then companies were trying to bring a better product to market (for sales)...LOL even if it was not better. In my time and before, most folks bought refills, NOT blade assy's. refills were cheaper. I've seen a lot of the "winged" blades. They would be period correct (to me). Let me know where you can find, just the refill. Especially if it has the 2 stainless rails on it, like the originals... |

I had a 67 quite a few years ago that had those winged wipers. I have seen them on other 67s too. I have always assumed they were stock and 67 only. I could be wrong though.

Re: Anco Wiper Blades '67 C10
UPDATE:
After researching the Anco wiper blades I determined that they are original to the truck! Here is what I found for those interested: 1. They were known as ANCO "Aero" Anti Wind-Lift or "AeroAdvantage" 2. Original ANCO part # 815 3. Popular in the '60's and 70's to combat wind lift at high speeds. 4. Equipped on Ford, Chrysler and GM cars and trucks during those years. I think I'm gonna keep them. Thanks for everyone's input! POP

Re: Anco Wiper Blades '67 C10
The part number 815 make sense. The 67-72 stuff used 15 inch wipers. 73-87 used 16 inch. 88-98 used 18 inch...
If any searches for refills for that blade, part number should be 11-15 |

I used Trico blades and they were at a great price and look original.

One of the good sellers here sells a pair of (67-72)stainless wiper blade assy's for $28.00 shipped. Has an ad in the 67-72 sales section. Specialtyretail is his username, Fred sells a lot of parts here.

Re: Anco Wiper Blades '67 C10
This may be known, but I didn't that the parts stores do still carry wiper refills in the back. You have to ask for them, they are not out on the wiper shelf. At least O'Riellys does. Bought some for a '66 Mustang couple weeks ago. Can't remember if they were Anco or Trico but were one of the two.
