a small window of opportunity

I sold my Tahoe and my wife gave me the ok to get a blazer. I don't know how long this will last so please keep an eye out for a 1st gens and let me know. I can only spend around 4000 and it needs to be a solid driver. I know this is pretty cheap but I also know they are out there. I can travel if needed.
Thanks

Well not sure if anyone has one on here in that range, but they might,
& Evil Bay, Craigslist, Classic Auto Trader, get busy and it will show up.

Re: a small window of opportunity

There was one on collectorcartrader.com for 3500 with 3/4 ton axles, rebuilt 350 and rebuilt th350, 4 inch lift and tires. All of this is perfect although it did have one problem, it was sold.

Re: a small window of opportunity

Found another one but the entire floor had spray in bedliner and I could see rust all along the edges. It makes me wonder what is growing under the bedliner just waiting to show it's ugly face.

Re: a small window of opportunity

board member 2wdblazer is selling his down in FL. I think he is asking $6000. It is a nice looking yellow rig with 38" tires. Ya might send him a PM. He doesn't come to this board much anymore, but he is on CK5.com all the time.

I'm not a member anymore since I sold my blazer but I will check it out. I found one in Colorado Springs that is perfect for me but it's 23 hours away.

I thought there was a really nice half cab being sold by a ck5 member recently. I can't remember the price though.

Re: a small window of opportunity

Anyone else seen a 1st Gen around their area or on craigslist/any other ad? I've called all of them on collectorcartrader.com and and have ebay covered. Iam actually the highest bidder on a truck on ebay right now that belongs to a member on here but I am sure that I will be out bid.
Thanks

Try using crazedlist.org. You can search multiple craigslist sites at once.

A nice one just sold over on CK5 for 6K and it was in Florida too.

Good luck, keep up the search.

Re: a small window of opportunity

Up your limit slightly (ok, more than triple it) and buy VT's or LUV's.

Re: a small window of opportunity

Does that budget include transporting your Blazer/Jimmy home? Finding one in that price range will be a little work, but add another $700-$1500 to have it transported depending on where you get it from. Even flying somewhere and driving it back will set you back a small fortune with todays gas prices.

Thanks for the props Bouncer, I have been pushing Kurt's to a few on here,
however I am not pushing mine anymore. I do appreciate it, just not trying
to sell her anymore. (Yes she's still 4 sale, I'm just tired of useless pushing)

Re: a small window of opportunity

Those trucks are very, very nice, much nicer than I need or can afford. Maybe in a few years, right now I'm just a poor 2nd Lt with a mortgage, a wife and a week old son.

Re: a small window of opportunity

No, either a 4wd or a 2wd but for the money I figured that I would get laughed off of the forum if I put that I wanted a 2wd for 4500. a 2wd would be great. I already have some parts for it.

Re: a small window of opportunity

NTR72GMC, are you holding out on us? Ya got a line on a nice 2wd for $4,500?

There are usually some decent Blazers for sale in the Seattle area. I think there are two or three on seattle.craigslist.org right now. Shipping would probably eat $1,000 of your budget though.
