starting on the body
Started on the body this week. Right now I'm just exploring to find all the areas that'll need fixed....seems like everything but that's the fun part. Feel free to share you experiences and tips.
Previous owner(s) sure loved bondo. Some places were almost an inch thick.

Glad to here you have a good attitude about it.
 Check the cowl sides and the firewall just behind the brake booster...  a couple more spots that like to join in the rust party.Been there, done that, no wait...still doing that.  Enjoy the process! |

Already got those two spots. Getting new OE style replacement parts from Tim Christian next week; rocker panels, rocker boxes and end caps, two floor pans, two front cab supports. I also have plenty of 18 GA sheet metal to make what ever is required. If I could just have it finished by yesterday...

You've got your work cut out for you - great to see the K5 being saved. You may have mentioned before, but what are the specs on the engine?

weekend progress
LUV, no offense taken. I didn't realize there was that must rust, but since I've already started on this one I have to see it through.
Slogo, didn't get the pics. I'm going to try and repair this one first. I need the practice. If I screw it up too horribly I'll be calling you for that frame. Got some more "cancer" cut out today. Nothing that can't be fixed.
