original lights not fitting with new AA wiring harness

Hi everyone,

I'm just got started replacing the wiring in my 72 fleetside, long bed, single cab with the american autowire harness (great kit btw) and I noticed that my lights (specifically taillights and turn signal bulbs) won't fit in the clips that American autowire provides. The bulbs look very old, perhaps even original, so I wouldn't mind replacing them while I'm at it.

but my question is: has anyone else had this problem before? If so, what was your solution? If not, what bulbs are you using?

Any pn's or vendors would be greatly appreciated.
