Thumbs up Re: My 1980 restomod project

Thank you 73,
i got the front clip about 80% done.Still got the headlight housings to get rechromed due to small tiny pits in the chrome(im anal on this stuff).Get the grille on and get the rest of it buttoned up and then really its the wiring, get the glass in,driveshaft made, exhaust, interior and run tranny lines, button up the motor and thats it.I figure if all goes well by spring of 2012 it will be finished.

thanks again for the compliments, a long process in the making..

thanks
Pat

So far i got these 4 pics of it

Re: My 1980 restomod project

Hey everyone,
Sorry i havent done much on here as far as my truck project. In april i was cleaning off my garage roof and fell 20 feet and landed on my leg, compound fracturing my femur and totally destroyed the heel on my foot to the point i had to have reconstructive surgery.I been in a cast since may and will be till next month. But the truck is comming along, i got some of the front end all about done.I got to adjust the hood some, took the original grille, painted it up and put on a NOS bowtie i had put aside for it.I got some parts on ebay to mount the jack i had powdercoated.I also had the front swaybar powdercoated in silver rather then the plain looking red.I still need to plumb the motor, get a driveshaft made, exhaust, and finish the brakes and the interior, wire it up and install the glass.Sounds like alot but its really not.I also put on the LED taillights and Halogen headlights, and put on the headlight housings. But since the accident i havent done much, been out of work but will get back on the truck in september.I`m painting my 2001 dodge ram this fall as well.

thanks
Pat
