drip rail sealer
I was looking at the 3m self leveling seam sealer for my drip rail and see it takes a dual piston gun to apply it...
the gun to do this is very pricey just for my one time use.... is there a good alternative? after a little searching I see eastwood has some [Eastwood 2K Self Leveling Seam Sealer Cartridge item #51653Z ] that looks like it can be used in a regular caulking gun.... anybody used the eastwood self leveling? and would one tube do the entire drip rail over both doors and around the back of the cab...I think one is enough but better to ask.... __________________

Re: drip rail sealer
When I needed a double barrel caulking gun I ran up town to the local body shop and borrowed theirs.

Re: drip rail sealer
You don't need self levelling or even 2k sealer. A good quality air dry seam sealer for $10, a finger to smooth, and a coat of paint is all you need.

Re: drip rail sealer
I used Eastwood's and was great! Leveled well and easy to paint over.

Re: drip rail sealer
I bought a 3M air dry seam sealer from NAPA that works in a normal caulking gun. I have just shot my cab in epoxy primer and will likely be applying the seam sealer in the next couple of days. I can share the 3M part number, as well as my experience with applying it, if you're interested? I have never used this product before, but most 3M products work pretty well, in my experience.
