Re: The Patina Machina

Beautiful! I’m in the process of installing my backhalf now. It’s just too cold at the moment and I need some hands to help get the frame together to butt weld.

Thanks for the motivation

Truck looks great! Do you have any pics of how you ran your front brake hoses? Also did you paint or powder coat your frame?

Sorry for the delay in responding. I will see if I can get you good pics of the front brake hoses. I used Eastwood Extreme Chassis Black (gloss) for the frame out of a rattle can. It laid down really nice and I have no complaints.

Re: The Patina Machina

It was pretty flattering when a company such as GSI asked me if they could make decals and shirts with my truck on it. I jumped at the opportunity!

Just found some at O'Really's and bought some generic mounting brackets and made them work.

Re: The Patina Machina

Well boys and girls, here is the result of a stop sign runner. Blew right through it and into the side of my truck. Spun me around 180 in the middle of a busy street. Guy took off in his truck, but had a great witness that got the plate. Truck wasn't stolen and the cops found it abandoned down the street. The driver was probably drunk. I'm fine, but heartbroken.

The cab is actually really bad. Stretched back and down. Creases in several areas as well. Pretty sure I'll need a new cab.....this blows!

Re: The Patina Machina

That's heart breaking - sorry about that and hope you are able to recoup some for the loss. Being ABQ, I'm surprised the the other car wasn't stolen and wouldn't be surprised the driver was drunk.

Man what a bummer. I have never seen a wheel bent like that, hope it didn't do any axle damage.
