AC Conversion

I picked up a 2005 chevy truck with a 5.3. I was hoping to use AC parts on my 81. Has anyone done this? I am not sure what I need to keep from the 2005 and from my 81 truck or how to connect them.

I tried researching but was striking out.

Help appreciated!

Re: AC Conversion

I think all you would have to do is keep the compressor from the 05. If you have the condenser from the 05 I would try to retro fit it. Other than that have some conversion hoses made and clean and flush everything out and replace the orifice tube and receiver/dryer. Add oil and 134a
