Seats 73-80 bolt in

IS there a direct bolt in seat upgrade for these trucks that doesn't require modification or custom brackets?

Looking for something can pick up in the salvage yard that looks good and comfy. I like the look of the 90s style 2-tone bench but if I remember correctly, doesn't mount that nice.

Because of the shape of the floor you are pretty much limited to 73-87 style seats with no mods. The 88-94/95-98 seat can mount to the stock 73-87 tracks with very minimal mods and work great

Any "how to's" on the mods needed?

Re: Seats 73-80 bolt in

If you going to use 88 and up seats. You will just need the stock 81-87 tracks. You will have to figure out the location, on the bottom of the seat and weld them. This is probably the easiest, if your determined to have a different seat. My truck had a 88-89 seat in it, when I bought it. But I wanted the correct seat in the truck, so I went back with the 81-87 style.
The last pic is the cover I’m getting ready to change it too.

This should answer everything. It covers using a split bench, but regular bench is the same except you only need ione set of tracks.
