Wood floor hatch, ideas?

Hi. Im looking for ideas how to make a hatch in my bed.

I've the bed wood floor kit with the stripes and would like to be able to open the 6 center pieces (straight ones) but how's the best way to keep them together? Just the bolts through the stripes will not work so good.
And how to get the stripes that sits on the outer wood floor pieces stuck?

please share some photos too to make it easier, if this been done in a good way.

heres a pic:

If I were doing this, I would have built a hinged subframe that nested inside the main structure supporting the false bed floor.Beyond that- maybe use 3 sections of 13mm plywood with the center section hinged with gas struts. You could run the bed strip bolts into threaded inserts. Maybe cap of the end with pieces of polished stainless channel.

Look up the "rust repair turned into an ls2 swap" build thread, that guy did an awesome hinged bed floor.
