Painting Fender Decals?

I have a 72 Cheyenne Super with all the Fender Emblems, but they have faded over the years. Do you have any tips or advice on how to restore, polish, and paint those or would I be better off buying repros?

Where did you get them? Were they repros? How much did they run?

Are you talking about stickers? What I was talking about are the metal emblems that mount on the fenders.

Like this:

Of course, if your guy carries stickers I'll need his number too!

Thanks,

Re: Painting Fender Decals?

So it sounds to me like buying reproduction EMBLEMS is a better option than trying to paint the existing originals?

As you can probably tell.. I'm completely new to this..

How do I have something rechromed? Is there a company near Oklahoma City that does it or is it more of a "DYI" kind of thing?
