VT, I found the answer after reading posts on here for about 4hrs. The flow rate seems to be 25-30 cuft. I had tried 20 but it sounded like my 50cf tank would only last 5 minutes with that flow. Dialed it down to 5 and got the snap crackle pop syndrome I new was not correct. Also, apparently, using gas requires a hotter setting than with flux core.
Still interested to hear your experience though. Thanks

Got the firewall in epoxy primer.
Kick panel should be in soon, need to finish the pass. 'a' pillar and go onto priming the dash & interior. If it dosen't sell soon, it's going outside for the winter.

Still pounding away...
This morning's work got the pass. inner kick panel cut, shaped & tacked into place. With luck, I can stay in the shop for the whole day and finish the lower pillar area making the tub one complete piece. Sheet metal from Tri-Pro fit excellent. |

Tore it down a little bit further than I really wanted to but after looking at the small amount of stuff left under the dash, I deceded it was going to be a lot easier to spray in the Lizard Skin with it gone than with it there.
Turns out that there's also some surface rust under the upper-most dash anyway, so I'll put the POR to it prior to spraying on the bedliner. In case you guys are wondering...this is the tub that will be built as my driver, the one tons will be swapped over soon and the TPI'd/700r/241 drive train is soon to follow. Tub will be receiving both sound deadener & heat protection on the entire interior, under-side, firewall, under the hood & even inside of the front fenders.  * The Lizard Skin product is 'paintable', and by using an additive that makes the paint 20% flexable, you can use whatever you want to paint it with. Ya gotta hurry up and get the lizard stuff on. That CRAP I used from Smart Shoppers is beyond crap. Its shrinking and flaking off....... I can't knock'em to bad because everything else has been great but that liner stuff they sell is total ........, well you know. BTW, lookin' good.
