Exaust Manifolds
Does anyone know if a 71 Jimmy 4x4 were the exaust manifolds curved toward the back or straight down.

The 4x4 manifolds are straight dumps. I lost the headers on my Jimmy and put on Corvette straight dump 2 1/2" manifolds. THis is the A ticket IMO. Several others have done same. You buy 63-64 manifolds, (I bought 2 drivers side as they were cheaper) and cut off the generator mount.

headers
My truck went straight down on the passgenger side, and back on the driver's. Hedman Shorty Headers did the trick for me.
