Re: Factory cold air intake???

It looks a little different now , After smoothing the firewall there's plenty of room to mount it on the passenger side .

Ha ! , I wish it was done , Project creep took over awhile back the 292 is going in my other 67 short bed after I found this 350 and had the Muncie rebuilt. Too many project trucks all at the same time , It was a lot easier and faster when I was younger and had help . When I'm done it should be fun to drive.

Yep, it went to a member on here. Only wish it was more complete from the truck I got it from. Amazing the air cleaner was even still there though, as no motor was with the truck but the air cleaner was sitting in the cab on the floor.

Re: Factory cold air intake???

I am pretty excited to have it! I also found more pieces on ebay. Now I'm just missing the bracket which I have dimensions and can here make easily to look stock and the hose from the air cleaner to the pre cleaner. I'll bet that hose is impossible to find alone or at all.

Re: Factory cold air intake???

I'd bet money that the auto parts store(s) have the right diameter, though the ends would still have the wire in them, if it's bulk hose. Maybe that would still work, since it doesn't need an airtight seal?

So glad you got it. I had you in mind when I saw it. Try the Corvette supply places for the hose. The early corvettes had that type of hose for the fuelies I believe.
