Re: Repro windshield frame header

I don't know if that would work. You would only be able to use the very top piece of the kit and I am not sure how you could fasten it.

Re: Repro windshield frame header

That's what kept me from doing it because of the cost. I made a decent bracket but want something clean looking. Maybe I need a nice plasma cutter.

Re: Repro windshield frame header

Thanks for the info. Probably will be doing one of these soon. Anyone else with experience with this patch? Did the stamping get any better?

Unfortunately no. The only thing fixed was all the little holes 69-72 pointed out on the first post of this thread. I'm in the middle of installing one of these and thank you thank you thank you 69-72 for posting your experience. It's saved me a ton of time. On another note, it's been 4 years since the original post and almost nothing has changed? I suppose it's better to have this available than not, but you'd think they'd make some effort to improve the design. This thing ain't cheap.

Re: Repro windshield frame header

I wouldnt expect they would have fixed the problems. When they get them made they need to order a quantity of them. I have my doubts that enough will be sold to justify a second run yet if ever

Actually, when I ordered mine, I was told by my supplier that it wasn't immediately available because Woodall was in the process of doing another run and they wouldn't be delivered for a few weeks. The way he talked, it sounded like there had been numerous previous runs with the same delay in availability.

Re: Repro windshield frame header

I used one of the kits and happy with how it worked. Some trimming and fitment are required but its no different with the floor and pillar parts I'm working with now. Tuff duty to find a donor piece in good shape.
