$1550 to have this rebuilt. It's shifted smooth since the day I got it, but 140K miles, and an occasion of abuse, it was due.
Which one did you use they have a few different products

Not sure if it's worth the trouble, cleaned up the aluminum trim with steel wool. It's all trashed, front fender arch looks like it was driven through a barbed wire fence.

Can anyone tell I did only the cab?

.
Can't tell with that image, no. Too poor quality and the angle is wrong for comparison.

But... it does look good to me!

Here you go. Their instructions say "for longer lasting shine, leave on until haze and buff"...............Well, I tested an area, let it sit over 24 hours and their aint no haze about it, it's pretty oily. https://www.chapmoto.com/pro-honda-s...EaAssvEALw_wcB

The transmission was mostly clean already. I sprayed a reasonable amount and let it sit 4-5 hours. Wiped, brass brushes on a Dremmel, wiped. Sprayed some more and buffed some with fine steel wool, whiped. Sprayed a pinch more, wiped and done. About 1.5 hours is all, nice stuff.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

Every little bit helps. The little things are what make a well kept daily driver stand out. I repainted the tailgate letters on my faded tailgate with a spray can and some tape. Made the truck look much better!

I read someplace the transmission will appreciate the natural cast, something to the effect paint may look in some heat. Good enough for GM it's good enough for me. There's a little scaling, you can see. I figure so what.

I shined up and installed the tubes today. 3M works magic on stainless and chrome. The transmission tube was well stained etc., no problem.

Trim look AWESOME SoCoC10

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Started putting new floor boards in the cab over the weekend. New kick panels, lower A-pillar, DS forward cab support, Inner and outer rockers, PS rear cab support and finally Cab corners.

Your 68 looks awesome how it is. Here’s my 67 I put the hubcaps back on today. On mine it seems everything I have to fix stands out so I try to leave it alone

If you don't have one yet, get one of the books on rebuilding Q-Jets. The sheet that comes with the carb leaves a lot of necessary information uncovered.

That's something I *should do* in the future, there are pop-riveted aluminum pieces now, but still need to slow down when crossing a puddle. LOL

Appreciate everyone responding to my cheapskate task!
