tie rod ? for akward combo

I have 79 c10 spindles which are 11/16-18 thread and a rack and pinion from a 87 thunderbird which has 9/16-18 thread. I was hoping I could find a c10 tie rod that wpuld fot the 79 spindle that also had a 9/16-18 thread so I could use a stock adjuster. Wpuld a 71-72or maybe older one fit this application.

I would call the guys at Art Morison and ask them about the adapters you need. The do a lot of different rack setups and may have something to help you get the correct parts.

Re: tie rod ? for akward combo

Ill have to google them after work and see wuat they have. I was reading through the moog catalog at specs on tie rod ends and it looks like the 88-95 c1500 inners might he a close fit. Have to get to the yard and pull one and see.
