Bought a clean 70 for 1200.00

Truck was parked with no for sale sign.
Decided to stop and ask.

The original owner past away but signed the title over and necessary docs before he pasted away.
The relative was going to restore it.
There was not much to restore.

70 chevy shortwide.
307 3 speed no power anything.
truck still has excellent weatherstripping on doors.
No rust anywhere. The vents still open and close on the inner panels.
the bed has a camper(no rust on bed).

i asked if interested in selling.
He said yes, a couple of weeks ago he decided to but had not advertised.
He said 1200.00.
I was willing to pay 2000.00 without negotiating.
Gave him the cash without hearing the truck start.
It only needed a battery. I drove it home the next day.

Title was still in the original owner's name- too bad i had to trade it for a new title. will post pics when a dc can borrowed.

Sweet. What kind of options (if any) does it have...or are you competing with Jason for the least options?

I think he's got me beat.
I got a heavy duty radiator(what's the diff?), and heavy duty rear springs(what's the diff?).

No radio, it has the hole covered.
I wanted at least an a/c cab due to living in tx, but you won't believe the body this truck has.
the only mod made was the shifter to the floor.

Too bad most my time is devoted to school and work right now.
Can't wait till the long days of summer.

Pics maybe tomorrow.
Needs a major tune up which it will get tomorrow.
After the tune up will drive to a friend house with a digital camera.

The rad should be a 3 or 4 cor (can't remember what is base equipment) and the rear springs are pretty much 3/4 ton coils without teh variable rate.

finally pics of my truck!!

Only thing i've done is given it a tune up and changed the gas cap.
Went to go wash it today and was offered 2000.00 on the spot to sell it.

Had to say no.
There's no rust!!!

My mom's neighbor has a long with a shell in the back yard. In the winter you can see the back of it. Once the leaves hit it will disapear from veiw till fall.

It's sort of funny because this house is spotless with manacured lawn and it has that old chevy and a old camper in the back yard that you can see 4 months out of the year.

Mom talks to the people every once in a while she is going to ask about it next time she see's them.

I have not had a chance to get a good look at it. The house accross the street from it is for sale and my wife and I have concidered buying it. Be nice and conveinet to just roll it accross the street in a few months.

Nice Truck.

I chuckled when you apologized about the pictures. I mean hell, you're using a phone to take pictures! That still blows me away. Anyway good score man.

Everything's got a price, but 2500.00 isn't it, sorry Perchjecker.

I'm not going to give my price either...because somebody probably has the cash and i just might sell and regret it later.
