A high school buddy of mine has them on his 72'. It doesn't look too bad at all. Trevor

Re: 90s 454SS wheels

Those wheels were also availible on the "Sport" model [or trim level] of the c-1500 from 89-92. The way to tell the difference is the center caps the true SS caps were black w/ red bowtie as the sport were chrome with black centers w/red emblem. Jim

Re: 90s 454SS wheels

Sorry, either way I think they would look really good. I would put them high up on the OE wheel list, and I 'd rather have OE wheels than aftermarket.

Anyone got some pics on a truck? Curious to picture it on one as well.

Re: 90s 454SS wheels

To me that IS the best looking factory GM wheel! I bought a complete set at a yard sale for cheap not long ago to use as rollers for my chassis (once its 5 lug), and will probally use them until (if) I decided on aftermarket wheels once my truck is finished. I also have a red '96 Chevy RCSWB Sportside with those wheels, plus a buddy of mine is running a set on a square body. To me they look good on about any year Chevy/GMC.

Those rims go for 400/450 a set around here. I have a set stashed away with the SS454 Black centre caps with red bowties. The attached pic is just one I downloaded from the net. A local guy has the exact truck in the pic and I've been leaving notes on it for 2 years so if he decides to sell, hopefully he'll call me first.

Re: 90s 454SS wheels

That's exactly like mine except mines a Sportside. Of all the vehicles I've owned over the years, its my favorite. Victory Red + Chrome wheels! Mine has a basic 2/4 drop. I get compliments on it all the time!

Those look great all polished up! And the truck, would look sweet slammed down a few more inches!

Re: 90s 454SS wheels

GM also used these rims on the 99 Cop Tahoes ( like mine in the pic) ,only they painted/powdercoated them black and used the chrome cap with the gold bowtie.

I've never noticed the 454ss and cop Tahoe rims were the same! Cool! I like the cop Tahoe ones better!
