The gear at the bottom of the column where the shaft bolts on has a lot of slop. The bearing is still there but there is nothing to keep the bearing up in the column...any ideas??

Is the cup and c clip still on there? May need to replace the bearings depending on the amount of slop.

No there isn't a cup or "C" clip...can you buy these somewhere?? Or can you take them off of another column??

You should be able to use them off another column. I have no idea if they can be bought anywhere new. I don't think there are alot of parts made for older columns anymore.(other than switches and levers)

along the same lines.... my shift lever is pretty loose (kind of flops around when going over bumps etc). Looks like the pin has worn out. I didn't see that part. Anyone know where to get this?
