$700 back

just got a check in the mail from gm chevy performance because they said the ZZ5 crate motor i bought was 30hp short of the claimed 400hp they advertise!

the $700 is to cover adding roller rockers which they say will bump the hp up to where it should be.

Re: $700 back

Well that is cool of them to do. Are they suggesting 1.6 roller rockers to bump the HP? For $700 you could upgrade the cam and add roller rockers. That is if you do the work yourself. But I suppose that would void your warranty.

they said it was to cover the roller rockers upgrade.

I see the new ZZ6 motor comes with the roller rockers now along with a larger carb. They bumped up the Holly 750 to a Holly 770.

I think I will do the same except instead of bumping up the carb I was thinking EFI

thoughts?

Re: $700 back

The 350 is reliable, adaptable for all sorts of applications, and can make a wide range of power relatively cheap. I don't understand why everybody doesn't have one. He he

That's great news on the $700

My wife and I drove from Fort Lauderdale up to Daytona Beach this past weekend for the turkey rod run. Over 500 miles round trip doing 85 mph all the way home! We got 14 mpg overall including some burn outs coming through the tunnel at the speedway! Truck ran like a champ the whole weekend! I was doing 80 at one point and punched it to pass a truck and she downshifted and took off like a shot. I am so happy with my C10 right now can't stop grinning!
