Re: Oem 1968 2nd row split folding bench?

Went to see it. The whole burb was cut in half right thru the roof rack. Seats look factory. Folding seat has pre 73 upholstery that matches front bench. No wood shims. Each seat has long "u" shaprd brackets to make height correct. Belts are 68. Pics yo come.

I'm interested in seeing it. Too bad they cut up like that.

Never heard of any 67-72 burbs having a split bench of any kind.

Re: Oem 1968 2nd row split folding bench?

Sorry for being a time waster, it appears to be 73 or newer. The side latches are different and it threw me. Will post pics soon. Matt

Re: Oem 1968 2nd row split folding bench?

I have a 1969 C10 Suburban, it has split rear seats, the seat bottoms fold up and the seat back folds down into the floor.. it is like a 70/30 - 60/40. I am looking for the rear brackets/latches that mount on inner sidewall to prevent the seats from flipping way back and floppin around.
I cannot seem to find these brackets, can anyone help me out?

Pics to see what you have? They wouldn't be original equipment from the factory.

Re: Oem 1968 2nd row split folding bench?

I love bench seats but if I ever get a panel or burb I want a split bench up front, not the buckets.

Nothing like a bench seat for dates!

Early R body?, I never heard of it?

You are thinking somebody modified this, they are not typically like this or def not available from factory like this?

Looks to me like a 2nd row seat from a 73-91 'Burb. Very functional seat. I added one from an '86 to mine as the original was long gone. With the seat folded down you can haul a short stack of 4x8 panels.
