Re: Reproduction Short Fleet bed

Pretty sure he said he didn't weld it back because the last couple inches were destroyed. He said he would have welded it back on if not for that.

Pretty sure that Rckcrln cut his bed floor similar to this and welded it all back up. Sounds like a job, but if I could weld that's what I would do vs. paying $800 for a repop bed floor.

The guy selling these has a lot of parts for 48 up chevy trucks. I have baught a lot of stuff from him and he is very fair priced. He will have more of those beds, and they look very nice. I have used the aftermarket hoods he sells and they fit very nice. So if the hoods are that nice I can only imagine the box will look sweet behind the a cab and line up nice.

Re: Reproduction Short Fleet bed

The guy in Norwalk, IA is a pretty good guy. I bought a used bed for a 90's chevy, and he was real easy to work with.

It's Rckcrln's build thread on Low Buck. Do a search for Low Buck and you'll find it.

Yep. Just South of Des Moines / West Des Moines.
The Bed is nice. was looking at it yesterday when I picked up my wheels. also got a battery tray from him. He said he should have the complete new LWB beds in stock in a couple of months I think.
