Re: Tailgate

I hope no one bids on it. I can use it on my 80 2wd Blazer. I'll wait and see how the auction goes. I'll bid on it as it gets to the end of the auction. I hate E-bay. Put a price on it and let some one buy it. I'm only going to pay a certain amount for an item no matter what it is.

Then bid on it. Decide what you want to pay and bid that amount. If someone wants it more they will outbid you. If not, your starting bid will be the purchase price. I do it a quit often....

Re: Tailgate

Tell the seller to take pics of the corners of the gate where the glass goes down on the outside panels. They ususally crack in the corners and I do not see the pics of the corners. He may be trying to hide them. I used to have an 82 2wd that I restored and everyone I have ever seen was cracked. I finally just repaired mine and reinforced the corners.

Re: Tailgate

N2TRUX I just looked at the pictures of your 77 Cheyenne. I don't think I have ever seen a better looking 77 SB. How do you like how it rides and handles with the air ride? It has a great stance. B.B.

Re:PRICELESS: Working tailgate window

After winning the tailgate with manual roll up window on E bay, I NO LONGER HAVE POWER REAR WINDOW PROBLEMS!!! My thanks go out to "Mikeoj" for posting the link to E bay for the tailgate. If not for his post I would not have a working rear window. After comparing the price of a replacement motor and power key switch and a new lock the tailgate was a bargain. $112.35 dollars for a rust free Texas tailgate, $100.00 dollars worth of gas and a 13 hour road trip to Atlanta and back (670 miles) on Saturday. After a couple hours work to install and adjust everything today, I NOW HAVE A WINDOW THAT ROLLS UP AND DOWN!!!! "PRICELESS"

Re: Tailgate

A true trucker. If you find something you need, traveling 600 plus miles turns into an adventure. You never know what you might find on the way.
Great find.

Re: Tailgate

I have been wondering about making that change myself - how complicated was changing it over?
I am assuming you put the guts from the new tailgate into your existing tailgate?

Re: Tailgate

No, it was already blue. The picture is at low resolution, the color is not as close as it looks in the picture. The tailgate is blue metallic and my blazer is a straight blue. It doesn't look too bad, it's off a couple of shades.
