What can i do with vent on Boyd's fuel tank

I am in the middle of installing my Boyd's EFI under bed tank. I did not buy a roll over valve for the tank. I am planning on just running my vent with 3/8" hose and secure it above the tank somewhere. Kinda like the rearend vent hose. What can I put on the end of the 3/8" hose vent pipe to keep dirt/dirtdobbers etc. out and still vent?

...in answer to your question, years ago I used a cheap fuel filter on the end of my vent lint to keep dirt and bugs out.....On my Boyd tank I used a Coyote roll over vent, bought off Ebay..$10.00

Man that is cheap enough on the Coyote valve. Do you still have to use a hose and mount it above the tank? And still worry about stuff getting into the end of the hose?

Re: What can i do with vent on Boyd's fuel tank

I am using the roller valve, into a fuel hose and attached to fuel filter at the end. I figured that the fuel filter would help catch any dust or dirt. I mounted the filter (or the top of the vent) above the fill hose. I figured that if was mounted at higher point that it might keep the fuel from coming out the vent on fill up. Maybe the roller valve would stop it too.

The only problem I have is the fill up is kind slow, but that maybe the way I have the side fill tank and hose's mounted.

Thumbs up Re: What can i do with vent on Boyd's fuel tank

The longer the hose the faster it will fill up. Take and run the hose up to the charcoal canister under the battery. That's what it's for.Try and get the hose up off the tank even a few inches is worth it.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
