Re: Happy Green Truck Day!

Did a little work in the ‘72 today. Finally fixed the fuel gauge always reading empty by swapping out the float with one of the plastic jeep floats. The brass one I had that came with a sender from LMC was a quarter full of fuel, but I couldn’t get it to leak back out? Fuel gauge working now! Also swapped out the original dash pad that was toast.

Man, I love that '70 GMC. That color is seldom seen, Medium Green Poly. But the basic white bumper/mirrors and 307/4spd really make it cool

Re: Happy Green Truck Day!

Thanks. Still haven’t driven it yet.Just did a new cam and lifter and a front disc brake conversion. It is old school for sure. No power steering either.Should be fun to drive.

On the 17th every time someone said "Happy St Patrick's Day" I replied with "What? I thought it was National Green Truck Day?"

Re: Happy Green Truck Day!

Late? well, this one goes back to 1982 for me. My first vehicle. this is how I got it, then repainted in a slightly lighter shade (with the chrome wheels), then completely went off the rocker with maroon. Sold this in 1985
