End all be all Cummins swap thread

Can someone point me in the night direction of a super solid Cummins swap thread?

I’ve read every one for the first three pages and searched google until my head hurts.

Specially looking for a 12c nv4500 4x4 thread, preferably in a square but about anything will do at this point.

Some back info, I aquired a 79 crew cab with a ve Cummins nv4500 in it. It was originally a 2wd truck and has been hacked into a 4wd truck with the 2wd engine crossmember still 3/4 in the truck. Yeah I know janky.

It also has a divorced transfer case out of a 700r4.. a case that’s not meant to be divorced..

It is intercooled with a 1st gen intercooler, has some tiny radiator and no fan shroud.

I have a 2nd gen intercooler already, know I need a 2nd gen radiator and shroud.

Biggest hurdle I’m trying to cross right now is the transfer case situation, trying to find detailed pictures. I’m planning on converting the 2wd 4500 to 4wd and running a married 205.

Thanks guys, sorry for the newbiesk questions and post. Just trying to get my ducks in a row

Re: End all be all Cummins swap thread

I had a two wheel drive nv4500 and updated the output shaft to the split collar 5th gear nut retainer to fix the nut coming off problem and put a cast iron 4x4 rear housing on. I think you can get a adapter for the splines. I had my t-case housing bored for the bigger diesel bearing and found a bigger spline shaft. Had to redrill the new cast housing for the t-case to get it clocked right
