Smile Kentucky board gathering!!!!!!!!!!(:>)

We managed to actually pull it off even though it was like 97 degrees in the shade. High72-Kevin, Pierce-Rob, Jamie72-Jamie, Longhornmail-Andy, Blue_71-Josh, OldPaint-Mark, Huck-Warren---and many guests all got together. We talked trash, trucks, women, trash, other board members, trash, trucks and ate real good. Parts traded hands, some $$$ traded hands, and lots of great stories and experiences. WE did a mini rebuild of Andy's rad fan for fun----and watched Josh try and figure out how many pieces of the 400ci engine were in the KIT that Andy brought him. Those who first went to the street rod nationals all had the same opinion---overwhelming in size, volumn, prices, and heat!!
Want to give special thanks to girls who put up with us'ins. They were all real sports----Renee, Peggy, Sharon, Marge, and of course my love muffin, Susan who cooked and put together all the vittles. Maybe I'll buy her that screen door or a new garden wheel barrel for her birthday! Those who had cameras, please attach shots on attachments to thred ~~~
Thanks one and all for coming ----and based on the success of this venture, I am officially extending an open offer to the next Kentucky gathering at HUCKS -----MAY 2003. Date and time to be decided~~~~~~HUCKMEISTER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Had an awsome time...and thanks for the fan! It works great.
Did you know... a fan clutch that is locked and grinding will actually cause your engine to run HOTTER! I was running 200-210 on the way there with the kerfagled fan clutch, put Huck's good scrap pile fan on, and it was back to the norm 160 - 180.
Go figure huh?

Here is Mr Huck cutting his fingers on the very sharp factory type flex(ish) fan he is installing. This is moment before he charged my truck with a pistol threatening to kill the POS!
You can see pierce on the left, and that is Jamie72's hand there in the middle.

Hate to say it, Pierce showed up in the coolest rig there. It has A/C...thats why it is cool, we all know street rod suck
Bummer he didn't have it on a trailer being pulled by his '69 one ton GMC Longhorn.
This is not a kit car either...steel body. pretty cool rig. A 1300 dpi of this thing is now my wall paper.

LOOK AT THE PAINT ON THAT SUCKER!

He said this was his first paint job...I couldn't find any flaws in it either. This sucker is nice.
I won't show any int shots since it is still under construction. But it has some billit, some chrome, a cluster of VDO guages, and some nice (mini-van??) seats.
Look at the paint on those fenders...the reflection of the trees on that rear fender...Friggen awsome man...awsome

i had a great time! you think we could maybe set it up in June 2003 instead Huck? i get out of school in May so might not get to come in May depending on when it was (ok that was confusing)

next time im unloading some of that box of parts on yall!!! brought the dang thing and never even cracked it open (i did get the bed of my truck cleaned out by packing that box ) oh yeah andy, i got that crate re-packed and able to close it somehow, hey i was bored, lol.. i was adding up last night, and ive already told Andy, but im going to have about $3200 in that motor

i only got to meet pierce long enough to shake hands and say hi, he got there right as i had to leave. i did see shane on I65 on the way home (how the heck i found a board member on a crowded interstate ill never figure out) didnt get to see HIM actually, but i did spot his car. got a pic of peirce's car n the way out, pic of the trailer rolling down the road at 65 mph, some pics of street rods rolling down the interstae, one of the GMC, one of the GMC with andy possing, i think i got one that shows Huck's truck and olpaint's truck. got a back veiw pic of everything, thnk i gt Huck's house in there too, lol. think i might have got Huck's Jimmy in one. ill have to finish taking the roll and have it developed then ill post pics

And Pierce, I like it...looks real good IMO.
It'll end up in the Longhorn, and I'll probably paint the inner portion so it will black with a true chrome surrounding...that way it will even out the dash. (same as inst. panel)

LOL, no, actually, other than yesterday, there has only been one other person to touch it with a wrench. I am kinda pickey that way. (that way I can't get all PO'd when something falls apart) I did do the re-install at least.

lol nope bloo dont get his liscence untill april 2004 but my truck will be there next time, if i have to drag it with a chain!!!! what im thinking is my dad drive my truck if ive got it running, and my neighbor come along with her truck and a tow bar just in case (no i dont trust my truck and no i will not pay a tow bill, lol) i need to phone the court house, i may be able to get my liscence earlier, but i think you have to wait untill your 16 to even get your permit then another 6 months to get yoru liscence.. ill be able to drive anytime after october 12 2003, but have to be with a liscenced driver over 21 with me..

somethign i just thought off, if we can wait untill in october, so it will be cooler and everything, ill be able to drive my truck *maybe* ill have the 400 built by then, doubtful but maybe
