Ebay still has good deals.

Got this GM CB off the bay for $75 which is a very fair price.
It included the mic and bracket.

Do those things actually get used anymore? Back in the late 70s my dad used to sit on his for hours. He had a mobile and a base unit.

Re: Ebay still has good deals.

I have a General Lee CB, I have it in my UPS big rig
I’m not a big talker onmine except when I’m in my local yard, it is nice for weather and accident issues on the highway. No, in general CB talk is very minimal on the highway’s

Anyone remember the CB cards that used to get passed out? Here in CLE it was a monthly get together at a ponderosa.

Yes ..... I use one in my truck for checking traffic and weather in the winter.

This would be a factory correct CB for 70-72 I think. Before that they had a black face-plate.

Re: Ebay still has good deals.

I think if I remember correctly that was produced by Teaberry for GM.

I had a Teaberry 23, looked just like that.

What does the tag say?

Re: Ebay still has good deals.

That is a nice unit at a great price. If people are moving away from Ebay then better deals will follow.

I wonder about CB use now with hands-free devices being outlawed. It proves my point that the hands-free ban is BS. It's not what you are doing with your hand that causes the accident, it's where your mind is. I can still drive a vehicle safely with one hand, just as truckers have for millions of miles holding a CB mike in a semi... while his mind is on keeping the truck under control.

Point taken ... they still sell CB radios - as said ts keeping one's mind focused.

Re: Ebay still has good deals.

I am glad that SOMEONE can still find good deals on FeePay! I have all but given up on them. I remember back when I wanted something 10 years ago, it was but a few dollars, and a click away.

Re: Ebay still has good deals.

Usually too much competition to ever get a good deal.
