Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Here's my '85 K20. Not too beutiful, yet, but she takes me anywhere I'm brave enough to point her. This is my long term project/daily driver. As soon as I get a couple necessary repairs done, I've got Hooker Headers to be installed.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

I found one more. My neighbor takes pictures for me because I can't keep a camera working, and he puts the pics on cds, so I have a mess of cds do dig through lol.

I've got black wheels back on it now, but the front is up in the air until I
figure out what kind of drop spindles will work with aluminum 15"s.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

dont think i ever posted the pic of my long beds so here it is . I sold the brown 87 to my dad but the blue 77 long bed is still lurking around here . Tags went out last year and I have neglected it but I still have it . It is not as nice as the pic makes it look but is is basically rust free and a nice driving truck .

That's about like me when I first got my '88. The piece of trim on the right rear quarter panel of the bed was falling off [mainly due to rust], and I didn't even mess with it. Was about 3 months after I got the truck I finally just took some self-tapping screws and put it back in place lol. That bed is history now anyway. It was so rusted I put a bed on from a '94 W/T 1500.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

I just picked this one up for my buddy for $300, and I only had one blowout
on the way there.
It only needs freezplugs and some tlc. It came with a nice wide toolbox too.
It's a 79 Bonanza.
It's too rough to fix up nice, but it will make a good work truck.
We couldn't pass it up for only $300.

Bad pic I know, but I don't have a camera yet so i used the one from the ad.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Here's my contribution. This is a lot of truck for the 292 to push around but I love it. A seriously neglected $600 Craigslist truck that is my daily driver. Restoring it one payday at a time. Seems like an old road or forest service truck. There are some odd things about this rig but then I'm not yet an expert on these models yet.

My '74 C30
However since buying it took off the tool box and added a truckman (it's second hand, hence the bad color).

lol no, i may sell my k5 once i pick up a crew cab, but i still need to put a th350 in place of the 700r4, drop the engine from the 75 in my 86 and get it running/driving. Will probably be selling for more than its worth if i ever did, but if you want one there have been a few nice k5s on craigslist lately, if i were you and wanting a 80s model, id pick up a 87-91 so you get the EFI.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Yup she's mine.

Needs some TLC and a bit of lovin. Rust on the rear fenders.. looks like some possible rust under the rubber mat in the corner near the vents on both sides.

I'll be giving her the TLC she deserves.

I dig truck porn, it's the best. only cause it won't get you in trouble

Isn't that M code like forest service green?

ok here go easy on your little buddy

before I dropped it. it was the first day I had the wheels on it. I put a 4/4 bell tech kit under it

the engine with my handy cold air intake

this is my 85 its my pipe dream I have 24's to shove under it and it will lay out to the rockers (someday) untill then I'll just keep buying parts for it
