My neighbor has a '62 1/2 ton long box Chev pickup for sale. I don't know a whole bunch about it other than it's a custom cab, small back window. Front fenders are pretty torn up but the doors and rockers seem fairly solid. There is some rust there but not very much. It is copper/bronze in color with the white accent down the side (bronze roof). The tailgate seems especially nice with only one small dent in it. Could make a nice tailgate! It is all original. The guy does not know what engine is in it but if it is stock I would say that it's a 283. Has a three speed on the column. Not something I would jump in and drive across the country in but should be a runner with little to no effort. If anyone is interested I could post pics as soon as my wife gets back from Montana with the camera.

I think he's only wanting $300 for it. Let me know if interested.

What condition are the doors in? Rust and Rot free? Does it have a chrome grille? Hmmm? Send me a pic.

The doors are pretty solid as far as these doors go. I don't remember a whole lot of rust. It has less than what you normally see on these. The grille is painted steel. I will post some pics on here hopefully tonight.

Sorry guys, I talked with my neighbor again last night (and ask for permission to take some pictures) and he for whatever reason has changed his mind about selling it.

If something changes, I will let you know.
