Differences Chevy Vs. GMC

I'm starting to tear into the cab on my new '50 GMC, and I've run into a question regarding the metal stampings.

My truck needs the kickwell panels replaced, both sides, and on the passenger's side where the heater unit was, the rot goes all the way up almost into the dash on the inner panel.

So two questions:
1. Are the GMC/Chevrolet stampings the same? And likewise, the patch panels applicable to both.
2. Does anyone make a patch panel that reaches up into the dash? It would be about 18" high.

Re: Differences Chevy Vs. GMC

Chevy or GMC panels are the same.
Tallest kick panel I found was from Jim Carter Truck parts, The down fall was that the floor pan I used was from Key parts and was contoured to match the their kick panel, so I cut the contour of the key parts kick panel and welded it on the Jim carter panel..

The Jim Carter Panel ends 3" from the bottom edge of the dash

You might look at the patch panels from Premier Street Rods https://www.premierstreetrod.com/det...W_Louvers.html

That should be the one for the left side. I would think that they are the same panels that they are using to build their new cabs with so they should be full size.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

At least based on the image, that's exactly what I'm in need of.

Thanks! This board is the best
