More modern, wide wheels on a c10

This is not exactly what I’m looking for, but something similar. Does anyone have modern styles wheels, such as rockstars, monster, KD, Dick cepek, or any deep dish wheels? Just looking for ideas and thought it might look good but not something you see often. Post pics of you have them please

The c10 in this vid has the type of wheel I’m talking about.

No one has wide wheels with a big offset on these trucks?

There's a guy in the Blazer section with that style. I think he has a build thread. Don't know the name, sorry.

Re: More modern, wide wheels on a c10

Eventually I will be looking for this info as well, maybe. I have read here and there that offsets are not desirable for our trucks, but I don't know why. I really hope that I can stick with 8 or 9 inch wide rims, but get a bit of an offset to bring the tires out from under the wheel well to approach being close to the vertical plane of the fender.

Yes flush with the fender or out would be great, hopefully someone will have some pictures.

Re: More modern, wide wheels on a c10

I used to have 20s on my C10 and they looked good but rode like crap. So I got rid of them and went back to 15s

Re: More modern, wide wheels on a c10

Several problems with the large offset wheels come to mind.
One is they are hard on wheel bearings, tie rod ends, ball joints, steering boxes, and maintaining your front end alignment. As these components start to wear the wide offset exaggerates the looseness and you will have to fight the truck as it wanders all over the road. Two, in most states it is illegal to have tires past the fender edge so you're at risk of being pulled over and hassled any time your on the road.
Not to mention if you catch a wheel on a curb or something similar at speed it will rip the wheel out of your grasp. But other than that...

Re: More modern, wide wheels on a c10

I think he wants no off set as in "deep dish" wheels. You know like those cool creagers from the 60-70's !!!!! I need that answer also. Will a 15" no offset 8" wheel with say 275/15 work on the rear of a 6" drop truck ? I think deep dish= no offset not the other way around.

That’s what I’m thinking. Do you have any pictures of those on one of our trucks? Or know where to get his wheels.
