Serpentine pulley conversion question
Hey guys, I bought a serpentine belt system to convert my 327. While I was pulling everything off the donor 4.3.... I started thinking....
Do I need to grab the harmonic balancer from the 4.3? Or do I use the balancer on my 327? Is there a difference between the V8 and V6 balancer pulley’s? And if there is then should I be using the V8 pulley instead of the V6 pulley? Any help is appreciated

Re: Serpentine pulley conversion question
Try the 327 one first, not even sure what if any difference between a V6 and V8 balancer.

Re: Serpentine pulley conversion question
You probably already know this, but in case you don't, you'll need to get a reverse rotation water pump.

I’m only concerned about the balancer pulleys being different from the V6 to V8. And if I need the balancer from one or the other to put on the 327.

Re: Serpentine pulley conversion question
Ok, I wasn't trying to imply anything. Just doing a quick search on Summit's site, it appears as though they are both the same, meaning you can use the balancer you have. Here, take a look;
