'60-'62 Bellhousing Mounts

Not having owned a running and driving '60-'62, I'm not sure what is correct here. Does the bellhousing bolt directly onto the metal arch part of the bellhousing mounts? Nothing in between?

Re: '60-'62 Bellhousing Mounts

Those are the mounts I am used to seeing on the '63-'72 trucks and am well aware of how they go together. I guess since this frame I have is a '60-'62 GMC, these must be specific to the GMC's.

Re: '60-'62 Bellhousing Mounts

I kind of thought it must be a GMC thing. Is your bellhousing bolted directly to the metal part of the mount?

I will try and look at it tomorrow for you. My dads 62 chevy c20 with the 235 had the mounts typically found on 63 and later. Photos from the gmc shop manual x6223 show 1/2 and 3/4 like those in your photo

Re: '60-'62 Bellhousing Mounts

Thanks for the pics raylube. So it looks like I thought it should be, the bellhousing directly on the metal part of the mount.

You can use later mounts in place of the first design I have on all my GMCs
