Howdy from Michigan's UP

My name is Dave. I am a Civil Engineering Major at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI. Having thousands and thousands of acres of CFR (Commercial Forestry) land to hunt on and wheel on is awesome. I recently puchased (as my user name implies) a 1983 K20 Scottsdale with the 6.2L diesel. My plan is to lift it about 6", put some 38s or 40's on it, swap out the700r4/208 for a sm465/np205 and paint it green. I also have a stock 2000 GMC Sonoma for a daily driver.

Re: Howdy from Michigan's UP

Welcome to the board! Great place to be. I am from the Lansing MI area, but today I am in Marquette for work. I really enjoy going to Houghton area. I have a friend that went to college there. All of the frat houses have lifted trucks in the driveways that rocks...

Welcome!

I've been to the UP....beautiful country.

I'm a 6.2L owner too. I love those diesels!

Re: Howdy from Michigan's UP

Born and raised on Calverley in W. Houghton. Live in NC now, and don't miss the snow. Was up there for two weeks in Aug, and try to get up every summer. Welcome to the forum, and have fun in my old hometown.

edit: And chevyfarmer- those frat houses are taking over Hwy 41: Chassel to about Franklin Square anyway.
