On another note: does everyone see the current advertisement for Beaver Creek near the header bar? That's where we were last week skiing.
Many of the ads you see in the advertisement banners are linked to sites you've visited. I think they access your cookie registry, or something like that. I'm sure those who are more tech savy can chime in...

Sorry about the sand thru. Darn cheap labor.

You are correct with the boot sightings. I also snowboard since it is so much more fun, but since it is also more athletic - and my back was hurting - I was skiing that day.

That Cheap Labor is working off the money for the cars that I have bought for both of the boys. They also have been cleaning up construction debris and raking the leaves of my 38 trees.

Whoops. Should've added a winky. Nothing you can't fix.

Best jobs I ever had were those kind when I was a teenager... seems like I made more money back then too! Learned a lot about hard work that way.

Hood is prepped and the mini-booth is built. All I have to do is let the walls down and shoot. Here's hoping for a trash free winner.

You probably already know , wet the floor and around the out side of the building to keep the dust down.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Just so that no one thinks I've been lolly-gagging, picture proof of the hood now repainted. Only problem was, I ran the front edge like crazy. Also the primer spot tried to alligator a little on me. So here I am again today, prepping the hood to paint it the 4th time.

If I had seen a hatchet nearby it would not have been pretty last night.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Man Drew, You have some of the same painting luck I have had in the past. One in particular reminds me of your hood...well kinda. I was fixing up a car for my wife it was lightly hit in the front when I bought it. 2004 Grand prix, it was an easy fix, and I got it real cheap. My ole friend has a dealers license he hooks me up when I need a cheap driver. Anyway, I went to my local paint store I have real good luck with in the past. With my paint code in hand. He mixed me up a quart of the good stuff ppg bc/cc. It wasn't cheap either. I painted the hood and fender waited then cleared it with the high $$ clear. It turned out GREAT! no runs or dryspots, it looked factory in my "booth".The next day I start mounting the fender and it didn't match, not even close! Dang it. Over $200 down the drain for paint and supplies. Well, that didn't bother me as much as sanding and respraying it all again. The guy at the paint store didn't charge me for the next quart but that sure didn't cover my labor. I did take the old fender to get a perfect match the second time. The second paint job had a run on the fender and orangepeel on the hood go figure. And it turns out now the paint is too thick so little rock chips on the hood make for an ugly mess. Sorry for the long story but my point is, I'm kinda worried about your paint being too thick now. Mine had 4 coats too and it is noticeably too thick. Oh yeah, I guess you have a revolving charge at the paint store by now. Good luck.

I'm worried my gas mileage may suffer from so much paint!

On the bright side with all of the extra layers of paint it will be much more difficult to sand through this time around..ha ha ha

Nice work Drew.

Just a quick trick on how to paint a very large hood. Slam it to the ground via no wheels.
