Autoloc power windows...don't fit.

I ordered the autoloc direct bolt in power window kit. I was shipped the universal flat window system, due to the fact that the custom bolt in kit was no longer offered. I was told by autoloc that it would work for our trucks.

Well, after twelve, yes...twelve hours, I have the Autoloc Flat window power window system installed in my truck. I would have returned them, if I hadn't cut them already to make them fit.

Tools required: Auto body say, welder, grinder, file, 12 pack, Hammer and assorted hand tools.

There were many problems, with no resources to go to. The kit was shipped with a copy of a copy of a copy of a truck magazine article, showing minimal detail about installing them in an F-100. No other instructions were provided.

There is absolutely no way to make this kit fit correctly, and allow the window to roll all the way down in our trucks. I had to make an laterally sliding attachement between the window lift mechanism and the cheesy plate provided for the bottom of the window.

This plate sticks up through the window rattle strip and seal, when the window is raised!

After 12 hours, I have something that is marginal, at best. Please don't make the same mistake I did on these window kits. Spend the money on a direct bolt in window kit.
