Can a person buy these?

Here are my stepside tailgate chains. I noticed one has part of the bolt broken off.

Are these pieces still made? I assume I could fab up one if I needed to. Would I just cut a bit out of the last chain link, replace with a new "bolt piece," and then weld up the cut link?

Re: Can a person buy these?

You know, on second thought, I think I can fix this. I can weld a bit, my dad is an incredible welder, and I have access to a welding shop at a welding school.

Why couldn't I just cut the rest of the threaded portion off and weld on a new bolt? I'll ask my welding instructor.

Fits every stepside from 54-87. Brand new zinc plated. And you don't have to deal with the LMC people.

$19.95 for the pair, from a professional parts place.
