He told me that he drives it around town in Porterville,CA (I think that was were he was from). The car show was on a cloudy and partly raining morning. It didn't rain but suprised he still brought it. His friend owns the other sick red truck. He was going to bring his red 67 but the rainy weather scared him. I thought that was funny. The blazer came but the truck stayed. Here is a pic of his friends truck from last car show

Re: Check out this blazer!

That's what Brandi and I were just talking about when I showed her the pics of this one. When are you going to sell your 82 2wd and jump in to one of the Gen1 2wd's. I know where there is a 70 2wd Blazer all original. Has been sitting for a while but if you are interested I will go back and see if it is for sale.

Question Re: Check out this blazer!

From what I see in the photos, the work is nice. I especially like that clean look under the hood, but why have a console in the interior with nothing in it??

Re: Check out this blazer!

Those are both awesome blazers, but I don't think they're the same, the first one has the tailgate molded in place, the Mike King tailgate is functional. I really like the cowl and windshield treatments. Makes me want to build one.

Re: Check out this blazer!

Most likely a factory windshield that was blacked out around the edges and the windshield frame was closed up and the edge moved outward so when it was urethaned in it sits flush with the perimeter of the chopped windshield frame and no moldings. It took some work to make it look more modern.

Great copy that took probably just as much work though. You know what they same, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I'd ride in either one .....Jerry
