Re: Project "Vertically Challenged"

Homi, I agree. I would of had it off until I read a post on body mounts. I need them, bad. I never gave it a thought with other Blazers, take it off put it on, no problem. I've never had this one off. That will change.

Have you thought about painting the rallyes mabey a gloss orange or a glossy maroon? I think this with a maroon wheel would look really nice.

I'm not that daring. That does not mean I hadn't thought about it. I like purple, ochra, I like many greens. Orange, yellow. Any color goes. I like black best. Today.

Beautiful Blazer! I have always wanted a 2WD Blazer. Almost any year will do but the classics are by far the prettiest... You've done a great job & the blacked out rally wheels rock!

DZL1, Nobby, Meanlowgreen. Thanks for the comments. It makes all the work worth it.
Yeah Meanlow, I like the black rallys also. Silver pops, but the black seems more hotrod like. jmo... I've been looking at silver rallys on it for 15 years.

Can't wait to see what you are able to come up with in the end though... I've enjoyed watching the bag install.

Re: Project "Vertically Challenged"

I made a couple of pics more user friendly. These are my wallpaper pics.
Nate, there are some nice bumpstops lolife99 made for me, I'll be getting those on soon.
I've been busy trying to find a reason the truck runs bad. I've done all but pull it apart to find what the problem is. I suspect a head gasket if I'm lucky. May be much worse. I'll know soon.

Re: Project "Vertically Challenged"

I'm assuming you've swapped or rebuilt the carb to rule that out and run out all the old gas that was in there? I know it was sitting for a while...

Charlie, the Blazer looks killer!

Out of curiousity, did you paint the top?

Re: Project "Vertically Challenged"

When I first saw it with the black wheels and no rings it made me think of a police Tahoe. Neat! My truck is all black like your Blazer. I was going to do the same thing with the wheels. I never thought about the Astro center caps. It is different and cool.

I actually didn't get to read all of it but I did see the pics. I like it.

I pulled the tank loooong ago. Perfect inside. New carb, Swapped carbs. It's not the carb. That was my first thought, but it's not.

Nate, I wish I could say I painted everything , I got it this way, and yes the top is smoothed and painted.

Police rims. Exactly what I thought as well. I still like it that way also, no trim. It really makes it plain jane looking.
The astro caps are nice, at a crawl they put out a touch of flash on the caps.
I really like the rally look. I don't see 20's anytime soon in the future. I'm very pleased with what I have.
